A look at the interface between gravity and quantum theory – 2024 edition
Date: 2nd to 4th July 2024
The workshop will gather young researchers working on topics at the interface between gravity and quantum mechanics. The topics will range from models describing non-standard coupling between gravity and matter, to recent proposals of experimental setups for studying the nature of gravity via table-top experiments. PhD students and PostDocs will be given the opportunity to present their research activity and interact with their colleagues, and share motivations, techniques and perspectives, in a friendly and informal environment. A great amount of time will be dedicated to discussions and perspectives. The workshop is limited to a small number of attendees. If you are interested in attending, please register as soon as possible. If your schedule changes and you are not able to attend after having registered, please let us know as soon as possible.
The deadline for registration is 23rd of May 2024. The registrations are now closed.
The communication on which abstracts are selected as talks and which as posters will be provided by 27th of May 2024.

The workshop will be held at the “HOTEL MARCORA” in Via Roma 28, 32046 in San Vito di Cadore, which is a small town in the middle of the Italian Dolomites, an amazing and scenographic part of the Alps.
The location offers several trails and hikings (all difficulties included). Bring your hiking boots!
Travel
The direct and easiest way to get to San Vito di Cadore is via bus (although there are not many runs/day). There are various options:
– The “Cortina Express 100” from Venice (Mestre train station, Venice airport). Info can be obtained at: https://www.cortinaexpress.it/en/ (search for San Vito di Cadore)
– The ATVO line 29 from Venice (Venice Piazzale Roma, Mestre train station, Venice airport, Treviso SUD). You should get off at San Vito di Cadore. More info can be obtained at: https://www.atvo.it/it-orari-e-autolinee.html#tab-ricerca (search for San Vito di Cadore)
– The Flixbus from Venice (Mestre train station). Info can be obtained at: https://global.flixbus.com/ (search for San Vito di Cadore)
Accommodation
We agreed to a very good deal with Hotel Marcora, where the conference will be held. The rooms must be booked at the hotel and there are 3 possible choices:
Shared Double Room: 90 Euro/night;
Single Room: 105 Euro/night;
Double Room used as a single: 120 Euro/night;
These prices include breakfasts and dinners. The booking of the rooms will be arranged together with the organisers. Please do not book your own room.
Note: some of the single rooms and double rooms have their private bathroom, while others share it with another room (so if two people get two single rooms of this kind, they will have their private room but will share the bathroom). For this reason, we strongly encourage you to register as soon as possible.
This workshop falls within the activities of QuCoM and is kindly sponsored by INFN.
